08 May May Update
We’re well into May now, and the weather is fantastic. It seems like spring was short and summer is here.
I’ve agreed to do a series of art in the park type events in Alexandria, and some at Lift Bridge Brewing in Stillwater. Since I’ve never done this kind of thing before and think there’s going to be a steep learning curve for me. I’ve gotten a tent and started to set it up in the garage, so I can picture how it looks. I plan to sell original paintings, giclee prints of different sizes, greeting cards and magnets. I can already see that I need to make another trip to the trip shop.
Also, I added a calendar to the News page, so people can find me. I haven’t filled it out with all the events in the fall, but I’ll try to keep up with it.
I’ve made a lot of progress with my Minnesota series. I’m trying to concentrate on painting more scenes of the midwest, especially Minnesota lately. Also, I started another abstract series about my late wife, Maria. I’m calling this one Emotional Quilting. Expect some of these to show up in the abstract gallery soon.
