28 Apr April Update
Decided to do an extra update for April since I have a lot going on.
I had the first of the my Meet the Artist Series at Liftbridge Brewing in New Richmond WI. It went okay, but I think I’ll get more support at the next one, which is coming up on Wednesday this week. I have original paintings, prints and greeting cards for sale. Please come by and check it out and have a chat. I really like how they do it, with a little reception at the beginning and at the end.
I stopped by The Grand in New Ulm on my way back from visiting my parents. I wanted to check out the art in the gallery and to see the space again. There is an elevator in the back if anyone if planning to visit and needs it. Marketing Director Olivia kindly remembered me from having met her once probably 10 months ago.
Also, I’ve been doing a lot of plein air painting and finishing these in my studio. Someone pointed out that most of my landscapes were other places, not the midwest where I live. I had a habit of wanting to remember vacations, so I’d paint those. To remedy this, I’ve acquired some small canvases and have been painting Minnesota scenes. I’ll be posting some of these in my landscape gallery soon.
I’ve also made an effort to be more engaging on my social medias. I started a new Facebook account called “Eric Twait Artist”. I also post on Instagram as “egtwait” and once in a while on Bluesky as @erictwaitartist.bsky.social.
Another thing I got involved in is the Saturday Art Market in Alexandria. I’ve been to lot’s of these, but never as an exhibitor. I’m excited and nervous about this.
